When we first released the album, we tried to sell it. We always wanted to just give our music away, but we also wanted to make a living doing music, and there is no money in giving stuff away. We have been questioning our paths in life and realized that we didn’t want to charge money for our music. Sure, we could make some money, but that is not why we started writing music in the first place. We just want people to hear the music we create. That is the only thing that is important to us. I have been through a lot of hard times in my life. Music was always my refuge. My only goal is to create something that can be that same refuge for others.
Jae and I have debated giving our music away since before we even released the album. It took us a while to see the light, but now we realize that we are not doing this for money or fame. We just want people to hear and enjoy the things we create. So the music will be free, probably from now on. The struggle for us was always, how will we make a living? But the answer is simple. The same way as everyone else, working a job. It is a small price to pay to be able to give our music away to anyone willing to give it a chance.
